Uses
This product is made from non-woven fabric and is used to cover and protect acute wounds.
Directions for Use
-
Clean the wound with saline solution, clean water, or an antiseptic solution. If using an antiseptic solution, ensure no residue remains and rinse again with saline or clean water (this process should also be followed when replacing the dressing).
-
Remove the wound pad from the packaging and cut it to slightly larger than the wound. Apply it so that the white surface comes into direct contact with the wound. (Do not remove the skin-tone layer; use the product as is.)
-
Use the included adhesive tape as needed to secure the dressing in place. Affix the tape to healthy skin around the wound to ensure the dressing stays in position. Typically, secure the pad with minimal coverage to avoid excessive sealing, leaving part of the surrounding area exposed. However, depending on the amount of exudate and the condition after application, full sealing around the dressing is also acceptable.
-
The product can be used until wound exudate begins to seep through. However, it is recommended to replace it as soon as possible (at least once a day is advised). If exudate leaks and stains clothing, an additional gauze layer may be placed over the dressing.
